Money Makers - A Credit Union Program Designed for Students

GMCU has a new student program that offers financial services and education that is specifically geared for students ages 13 to 17.  We call it Money Makers and it provides everything needed to take the first step toward financial freedom and independence. 

With Money Makers students can open an easy and convenient savings account, and also learn valuable lesson related to making, saving and spending money.  It's the perfect financial program for someone just starting out, or anyone looking for cost-effective financial services designed specifically with students in mind.  Here's what we offer:

• Savings account with $25.00 deposit requirement and a one-time $1.00 membership fee.
• Quarterly newsletter with timely financial topics affecting today's teens.
• Benefits of the Money Makers Club also include free traveler's cheques, student checking accounts, student loans, car loans, no annual fee CheckCard or ATM card, and a no annual fee Visa card. Certain items may require adult permission. Students considering continuing education can keep important ties to the credit union even if they leave the area.

Students can open an account with a minimum initial $25.00 deposit and a one-time $1.00 membership fee.  Anyone who joins Money Makers can remain a member of the credit union for life, no matter where they live or work (as long as they maintain membership in good standing.)
